MILITARY OCEAN TERMINAL CONCORD RARE & INVASIVE PLANT SURVEYS

SummitWest provided a lead botanist for 7,000+-acres of rare plant surveys and invasive plant species mapping at Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) located in the Bay Area of northern California.

SummitWest was contracted by Vernadero Group Inc. (Vernadero) through a contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District to perform rare and invasive plant surveys in the tidal and upland areas of Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO). SummitWest provided a lead botanist who participated in surveying approximately 7,000 acres for invasive plant species and performing rare plant surveys in areas of high-potential habitat. This targeted approach allowed the team to survey much of the 7,000 acres in the short windows allocated by MOTCO in the spring and summer of 2019.
