Founder Chez Brungraber built SummitWest with a passion for staff and company culture only matched by a passion for our clients. SummitWest started small, owned and managed by Chez and Griffin Brungraber. In the beginning, SummitWest focused on providing specialized surveys for endangered species and rare plants, but soon expanded into environmental regulatory permitting and multidisciplinary project management. After a decade of hard work and provision of reliable, top-notch services to California clients, the company has grown into a full-service consulting firm with a broad capacity to staff a myriad of fieldwork across California and the West Coast, proudly employing over 55 talented staff as of 2022.

At SummitWest, we are looking for new, emerging markets such as drone reforestation, climate refugia, data integrations, proprietary software solutions, and logistics. This forward-facing, proactive approach to new markets is also reflected in the type of employees we hire – those that want to find new solutions to complex, evolving problems.

Where We’re Headed:

With projects and clients across California, Oregon, and Nevada, SummitWest’s environmental solutions are benefiting not only the diverse needs of our growing West Coast infrastructure, but addressing the challenges of a changing climate and diminishing resources.
